Journal of Sport, Health, and Society (JSHS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality original research, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, case studies, and short communications in the fields of sport, health, and society. The journal aims to advance scientific knowledge and evidence-based practices that promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity, community well-being, and the contribution of sport to health promotion, disease prevention, and sustainable social development. JSHS serves as an international platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and professionals to disseminate innovative theoretical and practical contributions addressing contemporary challenges in sport, health, and society.
Main Focus
The journal focuses on multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research exploring the relationships between sport, physical activity, health, and society. JSHS welcomes studies that generate scientific evidence, practical applications, and policy recommendations to improve individual and community health through sport and physical activity. Research should contribute to advancing knowledge in sports science, health sciences, public health, education, rehabilitation, and the social dimensions of sport. Manuscripts outside these areas are considered only when they demonstrate a clear and substantial contribution to the understanding of sport, health, or societal development.

- Research on exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports performance, motor learning, strength and conditioning, training methodologies, physical fitness, athlete monitoring, and physical activity across the lifespan.

- Studies addressing health promotion, disease prevention, physical activity interventions, healthy lifestyles, epidemiology, community health, occupational health, non-communicable diseases, and population-based health initiatives.
- Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Sports Nutrition
- Research involving injury prevention, sports medicine, exercise rehabilitation, physiotherapy, athletic recovery, sports nutrition, performance nutrition, clinical exercise, and health-related interventions for physically active populations.
- Physical Education and Human Development
- Studies on physical education pedagogy, curriculum development, teaching and learning innovation, educational technology, motor development, physical literacy, and lifelong participation in physical activity.
